Croydon Town Centre Business Improvement District (BID) is a business-led initiative for Central Croydon. Businesses have been brought together to decide how to improve the environment for their employees, customers and clients.

More than £5million will be invested into Croydon Town Centre over five years to improve the competitiveness of Croydon. The overall objective is to develop its position as a leading commercial and cultural centre in the South East.

Extensive consultation with town centre businesses identified the following opportunities for improvement:

• Create a safer and more secure area
• Improve the perception and image of Croydon Town Centre
• Make Croydon Town Centre cleaner and create a more attractive environment
• Improve the accessibility to and within the area
• Act as a facilitator and collective voice for the businesses
