Croydon BID is an independent, not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. We represent approximately 580 Town Centre businesses, including many blue chip organisations and well known names in the retail, office, leisure, hospitality and public sectors.
All of the projects and services we deliver directly reflect the priorities of the local business community and we review these each year through research and in consultation with businesses to ensure they continue to meet their needs.
Our principal activities focus on five key themes:
1. Making the Town Centre safer, through extra policing targeting crime antisocial behaviour, rough sleepers and street drinkers
2. Improving perceptions and the image of the town through co-ordinated marketing, PR, promotions and events
3. Improving the town’s cleanliness and appearance through additional street cleaning and environmental enhancements
4. Improving way-finding and accessibility, through our award-winning Croydon Visitor Centre and by promoting ease of access around and to the town
5. Representing business interests on Town Centre issues, policy changes and planned development
